‘Aquaman’ trailer blows fans out of the water
One of the most anticipated new movies for 2018 is DC’s “Aquaman” standalone film. The story will be based on the DC comic book character dating back to the early 1940s. “Justice League” star Jason Momoa will reprise his role as the often-underappreciated underwater superhero. However, based on the new movie trailer, this could be one of DC’s biggest hits since the “Wonder Woman” solo outing delighted fans.

Comic-Con attendees were among the first viewers that were able to watch the Warner Bros. and DC film’s trailer. In the new movie trailer, viewers quickly realize that this will focus on the backstory of Arthur aka Aquaman. That includes showing some of his life as a child with an ability to communicate with creatures underwater. An early scene in the trailer showcases Arthur’s special ability in a fun aquarium scene where a few bullying classmates confront him.

The new movie trailer also packs in glimpses of some of the impressive action scenes. The movie won’t just tell Aquaman’s story as a child but also involves him having to defend the “surface world” from his half-brother’s evil plans. Actress Amber Heard shows up in the role of “Mera.” The comic book heroine finds Aquaman to gain his assistance with that world threat.

Along with one-liners and beautiful visuals are stylish scenes involving intense underwater battles. There are battles on land which also involve the sea and even Aquaman invading a submarine for a fight. The effects look fantastic, and most likely the new movie behind the scenes reveals will show just how much effort went into making these scenes.

As DC’s new movies approach, fans will be anticipating their release dates eagerly. Other films on the way include “Shazam” and a “Wonder Woman” sequel. Movie fans will also be keeping an eye on any new movie behind the scenes footage and interviews involving Jason Mamoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, or other stars from the “Aquaman” movie.

The new “Aquaman” movie will flood moviegoers into theaters starting on December 21, 2018.
