Pacific Rim Uprising Preview
The original “Pacific Rim” was a visual spectacle with top-notch CGI and special effects. It was one of the new movies that inspired a resurgence of science fiction and kaiju films. Kaiju is a Japanese term for giant monsters. The movie combined the kaiju genre of films with the concept of giant, piloted robots. The original director, Guillermo del Toro, was highly influenced by Japanese monster movies and mech anime. “Pacific Rim” was a tribute to both.
