‘Halloween’ trailer shows film will bring more terror to horror series
The latest “Halloween” film will be one of the new movies in the horror genre that many fans are waiting to see. It features the return of Michael Myers to the big screen with John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Danny McBridge amongst the executive producers. In terms of the new movie behind the scenes creation, Carpenter wanted a more terrifying sequel to be made, so he decided to get involved again.

The brand new movie trailer shows the horrifying images of Michael Myers and also features actress Jamie Lee Curtis back for another “stab” at the frightening villain. Curtis will reprise her role as Laurie Strode which she first portrayed in the 1978 original, in its sequel, and in several installments. Now, 40 years after the original movie, she’s awaiting Myers’ escape from a prison facility so that she can try to take him out for good.

The 2018 “Halloween” film will be amongst a slate of new movies from Blumhouse Productions. Actor Danny McBride, typically known for more comedic roles, was part of the writing team along with director David Gordon Green, and Jeff Fradley. This new tale is intended to be a sequel that takes place after the original Halloween film. Of course, it’s 40 years later, and the movie has that covered. The new movie behind the scenes story indicates that filming for this latest installment occurred in South Carolina.

The new movie trailer begins with a man and woman heading out to a prison where Michael Myers has been held ever since his heinous killing spree on Halloween night. Upon their arrival to speak to Myers in the prison yard, viewers get their first look at the iconic killer’s mask. The rest of the prison yard including a watchdog and other prisoners go into a frenzy while the supposed killer remains eerily still with a man trying to show him the mask.

Later on, more of the plot points are teased including a girl who explains the Myers’ Halloween story to a pair of friends. That girl is the granddaughter of Laurie Strode who has been preparing herself for another showdown with Michael Myers. That includes training herself to fire a rifle in anticipation of that meeting. Later in the trailer, Myers has escaped and mayhem ensues as the killer is back at it. Strode catches a glimpse of him and then has a much closer encounter in several scenes.

It definitely looks like it should provide some thrills at just the right time. The new “Halloween” film is set to hit U.S. theaters on October 19, 2018, just ahead of the holiday it’s named after.
