On September 11, 2016, a bus driver from Legacy High School in Denver, Colorado was killed while other individuals were reported to be in critical condition after the school bus collided at Denver International Airport (DIA) Sunday around 12:00 p.m. EDT.
It was indicated that the person driving the bus was a woman. Her life came to an abrupt end after the bus lost control and ran into the left side of the highway and collide with one the of the columns that support a ramp to a pickup passenger terminal at DIA. According to Denver Police Department Sergeant Mike Farr, there were 20 individuals rushed to hospitals.
A Denver Health Medical Center representative gave a statement earlier and discussed that five patients were promptly brought into the facility; currently, two are suffering from major life-threatening injuries, two are in severe condition, and the other individual is in fair condition.
Children’s Hospital Colorado received another five patients, and all appear to be in stable condition, stated an administrator after speaking with Denver7 News.
At the moment, there is no information as to what caused the crash. Heath Montgomery, the Airport spokesman, gave details about the bus at around 4:00 p.m. impending the terminus area on the fourth level of the east terminal when it swung into a support bridge.
