Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” Is The Second Hollywood Film Shot Entirely With IMAX® Cameras
HOLLYWOOD, CALIF.–On TUESDAY, APRIL 23, the cast of Marvel Studios’ “AVENGERS: ENDGAME,” along with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, will put their handprints in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX® in Hollywood and will thus receive the oldest honor in Hollywood.
“Avengers: Endgame” is based on the Marvel Comics Super Hero team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and set for distribution by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the direct sequel to 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” a sequel to 2012’s Marvel’s “The Avengers” and 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin. In the film, the grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand.
Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated “Avengers: Endgame” is the epic conclusion to twenty-two films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following “Avengers: Infinity War,” which made history as the first Hollywood film shot entirely with IMAX cameras, directors Anthony and Joe Russo have designed its sequel for IMAX by also filming “Avengers: Endgame” entirely with IMAX cameras
