New Ant-Man and the Wasp Trailer Released
The new movie trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp has been released, showcasing the next stage in the saga of Scott Lang. While we have seen footage of the new movie behind the scenes, this is the first real trailer we’ve seen of Ant-Man and the Wasp coming on July 6th which is one of two new movies featuring Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang as Ant-Man, the other being Avengers: Infinity War out in May. The only establishing timeline for the new movie behind the scenes is that Ant-Man and the Wasp is set after Captain America: Civil War with Scott still dealing with the legal ramifications of siding with Cap over the government. As such, his solo movie might be set as the earlier of the two new movies depending on how destroyed Thanos leaves Earth after Infinity War.

While Rudd gets top billing, Evangeline Lilly’s Hope is the real star of the new movie trailer, focusing on her new role as the Wasp. The trailer showcases mostly her fight with thugs in a industrial kitchen while Scott opines to Michael Douglas’s Hank Pym whether Hank could have added the wings and blasters of Wasp’s costume to the Ant-Man suit (spoiler: he could have). The new movie trailer also gives a glimpse of Laurence Fishburne’s Bill Foster as well as new villain The Ghost, a foe usually reserved for Iron Man in the comics (and who’s usually a male). The trailer also continues the original Ant-Man’s running gag of size-changing objects from shrinking Pym Industries to luggage-sized to weaponizing a Hello Kitty pez dispenser against a motorcycling thug.

Ant-Man and the Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas. It debuts June 6th.
